    The people of Huzhou, a water town in the south of the Yangtze River, are proud of the tribute "Shuangdu Snow Lotus" in the late Qing Dynasty. Snow lotus root, white as snow, when I first heard the name, I thought of Jia Baoyu's lustful Xue Baochai's snow-white arms with rich skin. Shuangdu is a place name, referring to Shuangtang Village in Daochang Township, Huzhou. Daochang Township is the land of lotus flowers, and it is not surprising that the best lotus root is in Daochang Township. The Tang Dynasty poet Han Yu once praised the snow lotus root in the dojo, "Colder than frost and snow, sweeter than honey, a piece of entrance is healed." In recent years, he has transplanted "Chi Baihe" to Nanxun Hefu, Qianjin, etc. The land, the planting is not bad, the lotus root of Shen Xingqiang is still more expensive than the market price. But he was anxious, if he didn't plant, Chi Baihe would be extinct.
    Although the snow lotus root is white, when it is dug out and brought to the vegetable market to sell, it is also covered with rust.

    There are many ways to eat lotus root. In recent years, "eat lotus root" has become "ugly", because eating lotus root is ugly, it's really not worth it for lotus root. There is a famous cold dish in the south of the Yangtze River, sweet-scented sweet-scented lotus root with osmanthus. The time-honored "Zhengmaozhai" in Nanxun, Huzhou has been doing it all the time: take the middle section of lotus root, the lotus root with seven or nine holes is just right to fill glutinous rice, don't fill it, eight Just divide. Cover the lotus root lid and seal with a toothpick to prevent the glutinous rice from spilling out when the lotus root is cooked. As for the caramel color on the sugar lotus root, it is fried with brown sugar. To be more careful, lotus root will also be cooked with red dates and wolfberry. Zheng Maozhai's master told us that the whole process takes at least six hours. At present, there are 7 or 8 stores in Huzhou city, 22 yuan a catty of sugar lotus can sell more than 200 catties a day, and it is almost sold by dinner time. Although the summer heat is hot, in the air-conditioned room, eating sugar lotus root and drinking beer, combined with the old and quaint dining environment, is still very comfortable. The so-called bitter summer is sweet.
    If Zhengmaozhai concentrates on the product of sugar lotus root, then Liyang Lishiwei is more active. Before the arrival of Xiaoshu, several lotus root dishes have been designed and launched.
    The Lishiwei River that Liyang No. 1 passes through is vertical and horizontal, surrounded by water on all sides, and the people of the village have chosen the water to live since ancient times. Different from the previous "water for water", what really made Lishiwei famous is the 60-acre lotus pond. Zhong Chunming, a doctor of economics from Fudan University, returned to his hometown and called himself the village head. In addition to building tree houses, he also made several village sketches in various places in Liyang, including Meijie Lishi Pastoral—renovated from a village office building.     Appreciate the lotus first, then the lotus. You can eat lotus root before and after Xiaoshu. The lotus root in Lishiwei belongs to the "white flower lotus root".     "Xiaoshu makes a sound of thunder, and turns it upside down to become Huangmei". This year, the plum blossoms in Zhejiang are surprisingly early. The plum season is 16 days, 14 days less than usual. I hope Xiaoshu can survive this day.
